Where the hell are we?

Hey Reader,

How are you? Do you ever have that urge at the moment to be brutally honest to that question...and say 'I haven't got a bloody clue?!!'

Or maybe you know the answer already, but it goes against that unspoken social rule of 'yeah, I'm fine...(NO I am NOT fine)'.

This week I think I'm in the first camp. I just want to walk, into the hills, hang out with trees, and drink Ginger & Mint tea all the time.

Then you check in with what's going on in the world. The other night I read this on Substack - 'What Happens When The World is Motherless'.

I see posts on Facebook telling other women how to check internet history via the router.

I remember situations in my own life with men in the past. Bulling past boundaries. Not hearing 'no'. Finding emails and chat histories.

So I read the post above, and it landed in my body. It was after teatime - and I just felt sick.

And a rage. A very deep, collective rage.

The kind of rage that tends to cause tears, shaking.

Where the hell are we?

I consider the trajectory of my own life right now - in a season of integration, architecture. But collectively - in Descent. It's burning and it hurts.

I don't have an answer to all this. But I do think there's something in not looking away...In feeling it fully rather than scrolling past.

And then I come back to this work. To the women finding their ground, their voice, their sovereignty. Maybe that's it - maybe every woman who crosses her own threshold, who finds her footing, who stops making herself small, is part of how we eventually get there collectively.

Trailblazing, one woman at a time.

With that in mind, here's a roundup of this week's content for you.

This week on the path...

Two new videos are up on the channel this week:

The Threshold - how to know when you're ready to cross it, and what gets in the way.
Watch here

You've Found Your Calling - So Why Can't You Get It Out Into the World? - a riff on that stuck place between knowing and doing.
Watch here

And coming Friday: Why Women Keep Their Voices Small (And How to Change That). If you're not subscribed to the channel yet, now's a good time to do that!

If you prefer to read, the written versions of the spiral stages are building up on the website: The Fracture · The Descent · The Liminal Space · The Threshold

Big love,
Sarah

The Orientation

If you're in the thick of a life transition and could do with seeing the shape of the path beneath your feet, my free workshop - Finding Your Footing Through a Life Transition - is a good place to start. You can find out more and access it here.

The Witnessing

If you need something more personal — write to me. Hit reply and tell me a little about where you are: what's ended, what you're carrying, what's pulling at you. I'll write back, and if it feels right I'll suggest a plant ally or two that belong with where you are right now. I read every reply and I'm always glad to hear from you. Or if you'd rather talk book a tea & chat and we can explore it together over Zoom.

Wild Rose Path

For the ones who can see the life they want but can't yet find the path to it. For the woman who suspects the way back to herself might be through something older and slower and closer to the earth than anything she's tried so far. If you feel more like yourself near plants, or something in the natural world keeps catching your attention - that's not accidental. That's what we explore here through seasonal rhythm, plant wisdom, and the kind of knowing that lives in the body rather than the head.
