Wild Rose Path

The unglamorous bit nobody sells

Hey Reader,

This week's letter is a little late, due to painting and decorating! And no, I've not finished yet...

If you've ever decorated then you may know not only the amount of time it takes up, but also the fact you have all. that. time. to. think. It's a practise in presence alright, because otherwise your brain ends up down some extremely deep rabbithole...

And I was thinking (yep, using it as meditation practise didn't work), there are parallels between painting & decorating and life & business. Often, it just feels like you aren't making any progress (particularly when you're doing the edges...), and the slow, steady pace of just showing up, over and over, hour by hour, and doing the thing is not glamorous, doesn't yield instant results, and can even feel repetitive, drudgery... boring.

It can be like this with the work of stepping into a new identity, a new role, and building a business too. Modern Law of Attraction teaching has told us, essentially, that as long as we have the right mindset, we can just stay positive, open, wait for alignment and what we want will come to us.

But that's only half the story. The older teachings speak also of actually showing up, taking action when it is aligned, doing the work when it needs to be done. And this is often the bit that feels drudgy, where consistency pays off, but it takes time to show up in our reality. And of course that part isn't so sexy to sell.

I think right now we have a bit of a window of opportunity going on over the next few weeks to really start to see some of our consistent devotion to something, or to parts of ourselves, start to show some results. This is where, to an outsider, you got 'lucky'.

Maybe there was some luck, but maybe also there was a lot of groundwork.

I'm exploring this and my plant ally for the month in the July Energy Update, which you can watch below:

Which plant ally is walking with you right now?

If you're in the in-between and not quite sure what you need, there's a quick way to find out. I've put together a short quiz that helps you discover which plant ally is calling to you at this point in your transition:

Until next week,
Sarah

Follow the Path

The Orientation

If you're in the thick of a life transition and could do with seeing the shape of the path beneath your feet, my free workshop - Finding Your Footing Through a Life Transition - is a good place to start. You can find out more and access it here.

The Witnessing

If you need something more personal — write to me. Hit reply and tell me a little about where you are: what's ended, what you're carrying, what's pulling at you. I'll write back, and if it feels right I'll suggest a plant ally or two that belong with where you are right now. I read every reply and I'm always glad to hear from you. Or if you'd rather talk book a tea & chat and we can explore it together over Zoom.

Wild Rose Path

For the ones who can see the life they want but can't yet find the path to it. For the woman who suspects the way back to herself might be through something older and slower and closer to the earth than anything she's tried so far. Each week I write about life transitions, plant wisdom, and seasonal rhythm... real letters, not polished advice. When you join, you'll get The Stile - a short guide and audio introducing three plant allies for the crossing you're in right now.
