Wild Rose Path – Grief Ritual & Energy Healing

Simple Rituals to Restore Joy

Hi Reader,

How are you? Are you feeling the push/pull of November's energy - the one that's basically in our bones to soften, to slow down and to continue the journey within (I'm personally feeling this even more with Venus about to head into the 'underworld' behind the Sun) - mixed with having the pace of everyday life turned up to 11, too many things to remember (and thats just what 'day' it is at school this week that stuff needs preparing for, someone remind me when it's Christmas Jumper Day!!!)

Musically, for me this looks like floating around introspectively with Enya, followed by taking action in time to cram everything in with the latest Nine Inch Nails album. Occasionally punctuated with my daughters' new favourite song from Teen Titans. It's quite catchy...

So to the Wild Rose Path...I won't share so much on social media anymore (although many of the 'nosy' mums who won't speak to me in real life have since unfollowed me because I'm clearly getting too 'out there' for them now - yay!)... but there's a spiral developing.

As I go into ritual, daily, with plant allies, scent, tincture, candles... the energy of Wild Rose Path has been manifesting into this reality. And the more it does, the more I've realised how it's becoming it's own energetic signature, guiding me to what's next. Although I'm still a bit dopey sometimes and end up walking into a wall or something.

So yeah, right now it's like a spiral dance. But knowing that this path ain't just for me to walk, I've put together a page on the website where you can take first steps onto the path too: https://wildrosepath.co.uk/begin/

And if you'd like to meet your own Wild Rose Self, read on friend...

Wild Rose Pathways

Reclaim Your Wild Heart - A Wild Rose Path Journey
Next week, my new guided audio journey Reclaim Your Wild Heart will be released — a heart-centred audio journey designed to help you release what no longer serves you and reconnect with your wild, wise self.
You can read more about it here — and I’ll send a separate note when it’s live.

Wild Rose Gatherings (2026)
I’ll soon be announcing the first date for Wild Rose Gatherings, beginning next year. They’ll weave ritual, reflection, and connection — similar in feel to a women’s circle but with a bit more structure and guided depth as they're online - probably about 4 times a year. Anyone who purchases something online through Wild Rose Path receives a free pass to one of these gatherings as a thank-you for being part of this growing community.

Behind the Scenes: Herbal Creations

In the background, I’ve been blending and bottling the first batch of Wild Rose herbal offerings...

  • Sovereign Heart herbal tea — a heart-nourishing blend to step into your wild heart.
  • Wild Devotion and Calm & Restore rollerballs
  • A new salve (still awaiting her name) with Rose, Lavender and Calendula to nourish and support your skin (and also, your boundaries)

These first batches will be available locally in the next few weeks..

Heart Opening Practices for Mums: Daily Rituals to Restore Joy

This month’s blog shares simple ways to reconnect with your heart, even in the middle of everyday life. These are gentle, grounding rituals — no extra time or perfect conditions needed.
You can read the full post below or listen to the audio version if you’d rather let it wash over you while walking, folding laundry, or resting with a cuppa...

Motherhood is full-on. Between nappies, feeds, and sleepless nights, it’s easy to feel like your energy has been drained dry. These heart opening practices are simple, gentle ways to reconnect with yourself — even if you only have a couple of minutes a day. No fancy classes or expensive tools required. Just small daily rituals for mums that can help you refill your cup and feel a little lighter, calmer, and more present with your children.

Why Heart-Opening Practices Matter

As mums, we give so much to others that our own needs often come last. And yet, taking even a few minutes to focus on your own wellbeing isn’t indulgent — it’s essential.

Practicing simple rituals to open your heart:

  • Supports your postpartum self-care and overall wellbeing
  • Strengthens your bond with your children
  • Helps balance your mind and heart when life feels overwhelming
  • Even a short, daily practice can make a real difference.

Quick Daily Heart Ritual (2–5 Minutes)

You don’t need any tools or fancy setup — just a few moments to yourself.

  1. Place a hand over your heart centre.
  2. Close your eyes, if possible, and breathe gently into your heart.
  3. Bring to mind a memory, a person, or a place that sparks gratitude, love, or joy.
  4. Notice where that feeling exists in your body — it could be in your chest, your arms, or somewhere else.
  5. Continue for a few breaths, then gently let go of the visualization, staying with the feeling.
  6. Ground yourself by noticing your feet on the floor and returning to the present.

Even 30 seconds counts — every little bit helps refill your energy and calm your mind.

Expanding the Practice (If You Have More Time)

If you have a few extra minutes, you can:

  • Extend into a short meditation or journaling session
  • Include gentle movement or yoga
  • Optionally, bring in crystals like rose quartz, clear quartz, or tiger’s eye
  • Use affirmations that resonate with you — even the slightly awkward ones can create real change

Remember: there’s no “right” way to do this. Some days you’ll have more time, some days only a minute. Both are enough.

Motherhood as a Sacred Heart Practice

Motherhood itself is a kind of heart practice. The care, patience, and love you give to your children reflect the care you give yourself. These rituals help you:

  • Step into the version of yourself you’re becoming
  • Refill your energy so it overflows gently into your family
  • Connect to your own rhythm and wellbeing

Even in the trenches of early motherhood, these small practices can help you find balance, joy, and resilience.

Journal Prompt

As you descend into your own underworld this season, what truth or power within you is asking to be reclaimed?

Thank you, as always, for walking this path with me. You can help keep this work alive simply by passing this email on or sharing it with someone you feel would benefit. Every share, every connection, helps the Wild Rose web grow — and I’m deeply grateful for that.
