Wild Rose Path

On resilience, pressure, and the in-between

Hey Reader,

You are not broken.
You are between structures.

And that is a legitimate place to be.

I’ve been sitting with this as I finish the first pillar piece of writing for Wild Rose Path.

So much of what gets labelled resilience is actually pressure — pressure to stabilise quickly, to be tidy in our pain, to “move on” before anything real has had time to land.

I don’t believe resilience is the enemy.
I believe it’s often offered at the wrong moment.

When someone is mid-rupture, being told to “be resilient” can quietly translate as:
Don’t make a mess. Don’t take too long. Override yourself and keep going.

That isn’t resilience.
That’s compression.

Real resilience comes later — after something inside has been metabolised. Before that, it often teaches us to override ourselves and call it strength.

If you’re beginning to feel unsettled — not in collapse, not in crisis — but sensing that something no longer fits the way it used to… this piece may help you understand what that feeling is pointing toward...

Healing Isn’t Linear: Understanding Grief, Anger, and Resilience in Life Transitions

It’s especially for those moments when life hasn’t fallen apart — but it has shifted enough that the old ways of orienting don’t quite work anymore.

Finding Your Footing After A Life Transition - free online workshop

If this resonates, you may also want to know that the next live round of my workshop is now open:

Finding Your Footing After a Life Transition
🗓 Tuesday 24th February
🕐 1–2pm (online, UK time)

This space is for women who are no longer in the immediate rupture — but not yet clear on what comes next. The in-between. The place where forcing answers only creates more noise.

We explore a simple spiral framework for understanding where you are, what phase you may be moving through, and how to orient yourself without rushing the crossing.

Because when you understand the phase, the self-doubt softens.
And when you feel oriented, you don’t need to push.

You can read more and reserve your place here: https://wildrosepath.co.uk/signature-workshop/

As ever, thank you for being here — and for reading slowly.

From the path,

Sarah

Wild Rose Path

For women who have been through something that changed everything — and are now ready to start building what comes next, but can't quite make themselves begin. Wild Rose Path is a place for finding your footing after a life transition — the self-doubt, the fear of being seen, the isolation of being mid-between, and the slow work of starting anyway. Through seasonal rhythm, plant wisdom, and the company of other women doing the same. If you're standing at the edge of something new, not quite ready but almost — you're in the right place.
