Wild Rose Path

I don't need to be needed

Hey Reader,

When life gets heavy, I give myself some 'zoning out' time on the YouTube. Sometimes this looks like listening to plants... literally - I've just got into Bio Music Vibrations and go find the Wild Rose one, it's amazing.

But I always end up watching Joe Hudson videos because the man speaks a lot of sense, and my brain needs sense in amongst trying to work out/observe/detach from whatever comes up from the heart space...!

Last night it was a money one. He spoke about letting go of the need to be seen as valuable, to be needed. That's a hard one - especially in relationships. But I can see it a little more clearly when it comes to purpose, to service, to the work.

Recognising that need for approval, seeing where we're waiting for it before we act. Asking ourselves... do we need it, or is that hiding a fear, a vulnerability?

For me, this looks like unweaving the threads of my worth/valuableness as a person from the value of the work I do. Because another person could see it as valuable or worthless - neither are a measure of who I am.

I wonder if you recognise this in your own life. Where are you waiting for permission, or for someone to confirm that what you're doing (or becoming) is worth something? And what might shift if you stopped waiting?

For the woman in the in-between

If you've been feeling bone-tired, a little lost, and like the path you were on has disappeared from under your feet, The Stile is for you.

It's a free guide and audio where we meet three plant allies: Wild Rose, Hawthorn, and Lemon Balm. Something older and slower than anything you've tried so far. It's sent straight to your inbox:

The Orientation

If you're in the thick of a life transition and could do with seeing the shape of the path beneath your feet, my free workshop - Finding Your Footing Through a Life Transition - is a good place to start. You can find out more and access it here.

The Witnessing

If you need something more personal — write to me. Hit reply and tell me a little about where you are: what's ended, what you're carrying, what's pulling at you. I'll write back, and if it feels right I'll suggest a plant ally or two that belong with where you are right now. I read every reply and I'm always glad to hear from you. Or if you'd rather talk book a tea & chat and we can explore it together over Zoom.

Wild Rose Path

For the ones who can see the life they want but can't yet find the path to it. For the woman who suspects the way back to herself might be through something older and slower and closer to the earth than anything she's tried so far. Each week I write about life transitions, plant wisdom, and seasonal rhythm... real letters, not polished advice. When you join, you'll get The Stile - a short guide and audio introducing three plant allies for the crossing you're in right now.
